Welcome to the world of quilting.  We hope with Simple Beginnings to teach you the basics of cutting, sewing accurate 1/4" seam allowances, putting a block together and then putting the blocks into a quilt top. You will complete the top in class and can then go on to learn how to machine or hand quilt your top.

Finished size is 38" X 53"

Suplies

  • Mat 18" x 24" - good size for class.
  • Rotary cutter
  • 6" x 24" (or 6 1/2" x 24") ruler
  • 9 1/2" square ruler
  • 1" x 6" ruler
  • Collins silk pins
  • Pin cushion
  • Pencils to mark fabrics
  • Thread to blend with your fabrics.  I usually use medium gray.
  • Scissors to cut treads.
  • Seam ripper.
  • Zip lock bags to hold your finished blocks
