Ripless Paper Piecing

Ripless Paper Piecing

Feb 11 - 10:30am - 1:30pm.

Teacher: Lois Griffith 534-8513

This star quilt is put together with four easy blocks plus borders.  If you have never quilted, you can do this!  This easy method of paper piecing will help you have an accurately pieced quilt with no paper to tear off.  Come, have fun and go home with a complete or nearly complete top.  Kits will be provided so we can spend all our time sewing.

A kit will be provided for this class.

Cost:

  • $15 Class
  • $10 Kit

Supplies needed:

  • Kit: Provided at time of class
  • Old magazine or catalog covered with tin foil and placed in muslin bag just big enough to fit.
  • Rotary cutter and mat (a small one will be fine) and ruler.  An 8" X 12" mat is great.
  • Sewing machine
  • Add a quarter ruler.
  • Scissors to cut threads.
  • Seam ripper.
  • Paper scissors.
  • Thread to blend (grey will be good).
  • A few pins might be helpful.
  • Mini irons come in handy but are not required.
  • Sewing machine in good working order.
  • Edge foot or open toe foot helpful if you have one for your machine.
